Oil Prices Exceed 120 Dollars Per Barrel
Denitry Piskov stated that oil at the targeted refinery was intended for export. The remarks follow reports from Newsmax that Ukrainian allies requested Kyiv refrain from attacking Russian energy infrastructure due to the Middle East crisis, but Kyiv declined. The United Arab Emirates currently faces an OPEC-imposed daily production limit of 3.5 million barrels. UAE production capacity could potentially reach 5 million barrels in the near future. Utilizing a maximum surplus of 3 million barrels per day would take approximately 365 days to offset the projected deficit caused by global conflict. This move aims to reduce price tension and conflict in the Middle East. The decision follows the closure of the Armuz Strait, which handles one-fifth of the world's oil volume. This closure led to production cuts by major producers in the Persian Gulf and rising energy prices.
