Volkswagen Rejects Aluminum Parts Concept
Volkswagen has rejected a concept for specialized aluminum cast parts used in automotive gearboxes and engines. The investor presented the concept to the corporation middle of last week. The decision means the parts will no longer be required starting this autumn. Approximately 700 jobs in Harz-Gerode could be lost due to this decision. Local stakeholders in Harz and Harz-Gerode are expressing concern over the impact.
