Italian Regulator Fines Snack Makers
The Italian antitrust authority found that three snack brands engaged in a cartel to divide the supply of salted snacks produced for large-scale retail distribution. The investigation involved a deal worth 23 million euros. The three companies implemented an agreement to partition the market for these products. The Italian competition watchdog has issued fines against snack manufacturer Amica and others for cartel behavior.
