Emerging Market Fund Records $352 Million In Fresh Capital
An emerging market fund recorded over $352 million in fresh capital last week. Year-to-date flows for the fund have already surpassed $4.6 billion. Traders are seeking exposure to developing markets as an alternative to China. Flows to U.S.-listed emerging market ETFs, including those targeting specific countries, totaled $1.67 billion for the week ending April 24th. This compares to previous gains of $3.29 billion. Data shows fund holdings in certain sectors have reached 29.06% of circulating shares, approaching the 30% threshold. Specific holdings include Biosearch at 37.82%, Zhongji Innolight at 20.78%, Lanqi Technology at 21.71%, and Yuanjie Technology at 23.46%. Analysts warn that high over-allocation in sectors like the AI computing power chain may lead to collective selling if performance misses expectations.
