Moscow Exchange Index Drops 30 Percent
The Moscow Exchange aims to begin conducting cryptocurrency operations starting in 2027. The Russian Central Bank expects the first regulated cryptocurrency operations to occur by the end of the year, following government approval of cryptocurrency regulation bills. The oil and gas sectors have not received capital inflows and have begun to trend downward. Gazprom shares are also declining, according to the report. This movement occurs alongside volatility in oil prices and the US dollar.
