Russia To Forgive 114 Billion Rubles In Regional Debt
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov aims to reduce the federal budget deficit by nearly 1 trillion rubles. Analysts noted that commodity-dependent regions are facing the most severe financial situations. However, these funds were insufficient to cover the total deficit. The initiative involves a 50-50 split between federal and regional funding for peasant farm holdings. Officials suggest 15 billion rubles may be allocated to the project, though this figure excludes specific measures like milk subsidies. The association involved worked to ensure funds intended for farmers are not diverted to other sectors. An additional two to three budgets may be circulating in the grey economy. Vice-Premier Dmitry Chernyshev announced that millions of children will be able to rest in Russian camps this summer.
