Lam Dong Province Disburses Less Than 5% Of Public Investment Funds

Lam Dong province in Vietnam has achieved a public investment disbursement rate of over 5.5 percent as of April 23, 2026. The total public investment plan for the province exceeds 20 trillion VND. Of this amount, 4.268 trillion VND consists of transitional capital. The remaining funds are part of the allocated plan for the 2025-2026 period. Of this, 4.268 trillion VND is designated as carryover capital. This figure lags significantly behind the national average of over 12 percent for April 2026. The slow disbursement is attributed to three main groups of causes, with land clearance identified as a primary bottleneck. Officials note that public investment is a critical driver for economic growth in the region. Disbursement for April 2026 reached 5.5 percent of the 250 billion VND budget, trailing the national average of 12 percent. The province has assigned vice chairmen to oversee specific sectors to address these delays. Authorities will hold heads of units accountable if disbursement remains slow by the end of June 2026. The Ministry of Finance is developing a KPI system to evaluate the disbursement progress of ministries and localities.
