China's Green Shipping Orders Exceed 80% In Q1
China's international market share in very large crude carriers, car carriers, and large container ships exceeds 90%. In the first quarter, China's new orders for green vessels, which are powered by methanol, LNG, or electricity instead of traditional heavy fuel oil, accounted for over 80% of total orders. Green vessels are defined as those powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) or electricity, rather than traditional heavy oil, including China's independently developed Kun series.
