Thai Government Considers Increasing Consumption Tax

Several Thai banks have proposed increasing taxes by nearly 30 years. Previous tax rates of 7% were considered too low and made it difficult for banks to maintain capital. No previous tax legislation has had the courage to raise the tax. No previous tax regulations have addressed this issue with the urgency required.
