A new cold storage facility is being established in Bataan to support local infrastructure. This development is expected to improve food preservation and supply chain stability in the region. Researchers have begun constructing a new storage facility for ice cores in Antarctica. Alexander Makarov, director of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, stated that the facility will house samples exceeding 1 million years in age. Dmitry Bashmashnikov, head of the Vostok station, noted that the existing warehouse currently contains approximately 5 kilometers of ice cores.
