China's Canal Project Shortens Inland Route By 560km, Opens New Transport Channel
China has completed a major canal project featuring three main channels (Madao, Qishi, Qingnian), each equipped with two giant ship locks. The Maidao and Qishi waterways feature the world's fastest lock gate opening and closing speeds.
