China Streamlines Business Registrations and Expands EV Charging

China's State Administration for Market Regulation, in collaboration with multiple departments, has issued guidelines to streamline the process for individual industrial and commercial households to convert into enterprises. The guidelines clarify that individual industrial and commercial households can convert to enterprises through direct change, retaining business names and establishment dates, and will receive employment policy support. China has streamlined business registration, with all 31 provinces opening online platforms by 2025, reducing processing times to within four working days. All 31 Chinese provinces have launched online platforms for business registration, enabling full online processing and reducing setup time to within four working days. A report indicates that China saw a 13% increase in the total number of key enterprises, exceeding 689,000, in 2025. A report for 2025 indicates that China has cleared market access barriers, reviewing over 38,000 documents nationwide and revising or abolishing more than 2,300. China has achieved fast-track processing for 216 items, including company registration changes, reducing application material requirements and processing times. Over ten new electric bicycle charging stations and electric vehicle charging facilities have been put into operation. The country's economy shows a positive trend across investment, consumption, and foreign trade.
