Singapore Farm Productivity Rises 10% For Vegetables, 27% For Seafood
Singapore's vegetable farm productivity increased by 10% in 2025 compared to 2024, and seafood farm productivity saw a 27% jump. Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu, attributed these gains to farmers, industry partners, and government agencies. Despite these productivity increases, the supply of some food items dipped in 2025, with chicken supply specifically dropping by 27%. This productivity is measured in tonnes per hectare. Separately, the number of sea-based farms in the country fell by 5 to a total of 67.
