Majority of Germans Perceive Unfair Wealth Distribution
A representative survey by Infratest Dimap for ARD indicates high levels of perceived economic inequality. Nine out of ten people in Saxony and Thuringia believe wealth in Germany is unfairly distributed. The findings were reported by MDR Kultur based on the Infratest Dimap data. A majority of residents in the German states of Saxony and Thuringia perceive unequal wealth distribution. Residents in Saxony and Thuringia report disparities in wealth distribution across the region. Discussions regarding social justice and economic equity are increasing as a result of recent economic actions. High school tuition costs are contributing to financial uncertainty for middle and low-income families. Parents express concern that rising costs may impact the economic viability of local educational institutions. Only 7 percent of respondents consider the current distribution to be just.
