Michigan Approves Data Center Tax Incentives
The Michigan State Legislature has approved tax break incentives for the construction of new data centers. These facilities have been driving up energy demand across the state over the last two years. Consumers Energy stated it would pause rate hike requests for two years if data center projects in Celine Township and Van Buren Township are approved. Both proposed projects have faced contestation within their local communities.
