Malaysia Reduces Commercial Rents In Kedah
State-owned companies and government agencies, including Mara and Uda, will reduce rents for all commercial premises starting this month. The announcement was made by Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Ab Ghani. The move follows a period where Malaysia recorded approximately 711 billion ringgit in exports in 2025. The initiative includes increasing the frequency of availability for goods to at least once per week. The move is intended to help buyers and businesses manage costs during the current environmental challenges. Traffic news reported that an accident earlier between 7 AM and 8 AM heading north towards Kwun Tong, near the Polytechnic University, had been cleared. The source noted that these reductions are part of ongoing efforts to support the community. Malaysian state agencies are reducing commercial rents in Kedah starting this month.
