Thailand Land Bridge Project Faces Scrutiny
Funding for the construction of two ships is approximately 90 million, which is not state funding but a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project. The project's future remains uncertain pending the committee's findings. The project's feasibility and potential benefits are still under review. Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Anutdin Charaikul stated that a committee will be formed to study the Ranawich project to adapt to current circumstances. Anutdin also addressed criticism regarding the project, indicating that the government will respond to comments made about it. The deputy prime minister also mentioned that reducing household electricity consumption by 10% could save approximately 150 baht per month, or nearly 1800 baht annually. He suggested simple measures like setting air conditioning to 24 degrees Celsius and cleaning the air conditioner monthly.
