Portugal And Spain Reduce Fishing Quotas
Portugal and Spain have set fishing quotas totaling approximately 50,300 tons, with Portugal allocated about 33,500 tons. These figures are based on a scientific report prepared in December 2018. Jorge Abrantes of the International Committee for Sea Exploration expects this reduction in quotas to be rendered ineffective. The decision follows scientific assessments regarding maritime resource management.
