Shen Jiawen rented a disused factory in 2024 and transformed it into a rural coffee shop that blends industrial heritage with natural elements. Young entrepreneurs are transforming abandoned industrial sites into cultural and tourist attractions in rural China. The shop is located in a transformed industrial site, formerly a mine, which was renovated with minimal interference. This project demonstrates the success of youth rural revitalization policies in China. Wang Zhentao's village coffee shop, 'Dongxue Coffee', has become a popular spot in Deqing, transforming a disused industrial mine into a cultural tourism attraction. The project, led by Mu Lin and a team, utilized a minimal interference renovation philosophy to transform the industrial heritage site. The initiative is cited as an example of the effectiveness of China's youth-to-rural policies.
