Uganda Coffee Profits Largely Exit Country
Only 10% of profits from coffee cultivation in Uganda remain within the country. The remaining 90% is distributed among transport, trade, and processing companies, including Nestlé. Fair trade establishes a minimum price of $1.80 per pound for Arabica coffee beans.
