Vietnam Plans Shipping Route To Deep Water Port
A project for a general port and container terminal is planned to cover approximately 351 hectares with a total investment of 50.2 trillion VND, equivalent to nearly $2 billion USD. The Ministry of Commerce is collaborating with retailers and distributors to reduce prices on approximately 3,000 goods, with some reductions nearing 60%. The plan includes infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and railway stations connecting to the port, which will serve as an export point to the sea. This initiative is intended to optimize shipping times and costs. Vietnam is developing shipping routes to connect to the deep-water port of Da Man, aiming for efficient and cost-effective cargo transport to various countries including Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. A new shipping route between Vietnam and China is being established with the aim of improving efficiency.
