Polish Sheep Population Declines Significantly
The sheep population in the Tatra Mountains has decreased from approximately 28,000 in 2006 to just over 16,000 today. Shepherds report that while demand for sheep products remains high, the industry faces a growing labor shortage. The official pastoral season commenced today.
