US Criticizes EU Tariff Plans

The tariffs are expected to particularly impact German manufacturers like Porsche and Audi, which do not have factories in the United States. Luxury car brands like Ferrari may be able to absorb the additional costs. CSU leader Hoffmann criticized cooperation with the SPD, citing signals against the Chancellor. Separately, Trump stated the EU is not adhering to a trade agreement without providing details. The EU reserves the right to take countermeasures if the US raises tariffs.
