The US is also reinforcing its military presence in the Gulf region to replenish stocks following 47 days of previous bombardment. Niu Xinchun, director of the China-Arab States Research Institute at Ningxia University, stated that escalating war is the United States' final option to force Iranian compromise. A proposal to restrict vessel passage in the Strait of Hormuz has been submitted to the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee. The plan reportedly targets vessels from nations identified as hostile to Iran, with an absolute prohibition on Israeli ships.
