IOM Warns Of Risks For Deported Migrants
Jacek Zarzecki, vice-chairman of a Polish balanced beef platform, stated that agriculture is under constant threat. He noted that cheap food from Mercosur countries is impacting the market because those producers do not have to meet strict EU standards. Zarzecki warned that the effects of these trade dynamics are already being strongly felt in Poland. The industry is monitoring developments expected over the next several days. He noted that farmers from these regions do not have to meet all stringent European Union standards. Russian Special Envoy Artem Bulatov stated that NATO and EU efforts to restrict transport to the Kaliningrad region are creating conditions for regional isolation. Bulatov noted these actions are occurring during military exercises aimed at controlling Baltic logistics routes.
