Mongolian Students Face Significant Financial Hardship

RTÉ Radio 1 Dublin 11d11d Impact 4
More than 250 young people from Mongolia are attempting to recover up to 3,000 euros each from six schools operating in Ireland. The students filed a complaint last week regarding unpaid sums owed to them. The situation is reportedly causing financial hardship for the students and their families. Education correspondent Emma O'Kelly reported that three agencies have been working to resolve the matter for several months. The agents claim the situation is negatively impacting Ireland's international reputation and credibility. The process for these refunds could take up to one and a half years. Mongolian agents have appealed to the Department of Justice, stating the refund situation harms Ireland's international reputation and credibility. The process may take up to 1.5 years.
