US Moves To Pressure Iran Over Strait Of Hormuz
A double blockade in the Strait of Hormuz is causing global trade disruptions. A French broadcast reported that Iranians have been in a state of conflict with the United States for 47 years. Iran has signaled that its ability to influence maritime routes is a lever of power that could be utilized in the event of military conflict. Analysts suggest the Trump administration faces similar strategic traps as seen in previous geopolitical escalations. The Iranian border is described as being 1,000 kilometers smaller than the total extent of the country's borders in relation to the maritime situation. Political analyst Amin Daneshker stated that two scenarios are being considered regarding the tension between the Islamic Republic and the United States. One scenario involves potential targeting of oil tankers, while another involves the possibility of a direct confrontation.
