China And Australia Seek Strategic Partnership Growth
China's General Administration of Customs reported a 15 percent year-on-year increase in the total value of primary goods trade. The growth is driven by rapid expansion in new energy vehicle exports. This trend is facilitating a transition for Chinese exporters from product-based sales to ecosystem-based international expansion. The growth is also pushing domestic industries toward higher-quality, high-tech, and high-value-added production. Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and US Treasury Secretary Bessent, along with US Trade Representative Greer, held a video call to discuss trade issues. Han Zheng met with Australian Foreign Minister Huang Yingxian in Beijing to discuss the development of China-Australia relations. Han noted that the relationship has experienced fluctuations over the last decade but said the importance of strategic alignment.
