China Designs Wind-Resistant Steel Structures

China has completed its first million-ton-scale intelligent steel production line in Zhanjiang. In Zhangjiakou, Hebei, a demonstration project for industrial-scale slag gas purification is utilizing steel slag gas as a raw material. Another project in the North China Plain is also exploring alternative methods for green steel production. These efforts aim for higher production efficiency, lower investment, and reduced factory footprint compared to traditional modular methods. The technology, developed by Zhongye Jingcheng in Zhangjiakou, has achieved industrial-scale stable operation. This Chinese original technology now holds over 80% of the global market share, marking a transition from follower to definer. The thin, high-profile design of the equipment is also tailored to withstand typhoons up to level 15, demonstrating a Chinese solution for diverse environmental challenges. The technology fills a gap in the industrial construction of steel-reinforced concrete, increasing construction efficiency by 60% and reducing on-site personnel by 70%. This innovation addresses issues of low efficiency, poor precision, and high risk associated with traditional steel-reinforced concrete construction. This production line has a capacity of 1 million tons per year. The new technology has achieved a thickness of 1268 millimeters, with a deviation of 2 millimeters from the target of 1270 millimeters. The smart chain steel integrated platform covers the entire process from iron water to chain steel and connection, enhancing efficiency and quality.
