Gasoline Prices Rise In Iran
Global financial markets are experiencing volatility as oil prices rise following a lack of progress in peace negotiations between Iran and the United States. The US oil barrel for June delivery declined by nearly 2% to 105 dollars. The euro rose to 1.1736, supported by expectations that the European Central Bank is preparing to raise interest rates. International oil prices rose to a close of $114.01 per barrel following warnings from Iran. This figure is compared against a total capacity of approximately 86 million barrels. The report notes this occurs as average oil loading has declined from 2 million barrels per day to 560,000 barrels per day. Iran has already reduced oil production to 1.1 million barrels per day and may implement further cuts by mid-May.
