Human rights advocate Anna Koretnikova from the Memorial project discussed these figures during a broadcast. The data highlights ongoing concerns regarding the treatment of detainees in the Russian penal system. Regional budget deficits in Russia grew from 200-300 billion rubles last year to approximately 1.5 trillion rubles. The total debt of the Federation subjects in 2026 includes roughly 100 billion rubles due for repayment this year. In 2024, self-employed workers earned over 3 trillion rubles, representing a nearly 40% increase compared to the previous year. Tax revenues from this group grew by 3%.
