Bhutanese Ngultrum Pegged To Indian Rupee
Introduced in 1974 to replace the Bhutanese Rupee, the Ngultrum is significantly lower in value than the US Dollar. The currency's name, Dzongkha Ngultrum, translates to 'silver money'.
