Heavy Rains Cause Deadly Flooding in China
Jingzhou City, Hubei Province experienced heavy rainstorms, with Gongan County receiving a maximum of 357.3 mm of rainfall from yesterday to early this morning. An emergency response for urban flooding was launched, and central urban areas implemented measures to halt work, production, business, and operations. At least 12 people have died as heavy rains triggered widespread flooding across China. Many residents in Jingzhou, a city in central Hubei, were knee-deep in water, with fish reportedly swimming in the streets.
