Marble Blocks From Thassos Shipped For Display
Large marble blocks, originating from the island of Thassos, are being shipped and will not return to their place of origin. These blocks are described as export articles of the Hellenic Republic and are remnants of geological processes. The extraction methods have evolved from using natural fissures to black powder blasting, and currently, industrial cutting with diamond saws.
