WGN Radio 720 Springfield 49d49d Impact 3
An audience chair used at Ford's Theatre during the assassination of Abraham Lincoln will be displayed at the Lincoln Library and Museum this summer. The chair was one of approximately 1,000 seats removed from the theatre when the government purchased the building in 1866. Retired Wake Forest University Dean Gordon McCracken donated the relic to the Lincoln Library. The display is scheduled for the upcoming summer season in Springfield.
