King Charles III Addresses U.S. Congress
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are leaving Washington as they begin their journey back to London. The royal couple will stop in Virginia during their transit. The departure was observed by a correspondent at the White House. The King wore a gray suit with medals, while the Queen wore a blue dress. Donald Trump described the British monarchs as "wonderful people" to journalists during the visit. The royal couple entered the building with the Trumps and departed by car after five minutes. They are scheduled to fly from the White House after attending celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States in Fort Royal, a town of approximately 16,000 residents. Donald and Melania Trump were present to receive the Royal couple at the south entrance. During the state visit, King Charles III remarked that the United States would speak French if not for the United Kingdom.
