Astronomer Nancy Grace Roman Dies At 90
Astronomer Nancy Grace Roman has died at over 90 years of age. She was a pioneer for space telescopes and served as NASA's chief of astronomy. Roman is credited with providing the impetus for the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope in 1990. Her work involved the launch of the first 30 cm space telescope in the 1960s. During her tenure in the 1990s, she helped launch the first 30-centimeter space telescope.
