Centenary Polish Flag Procession Held In Krakow

Krakow will host a large event featuring thousands of Polish flags on May 2nd. Attendees are encouraged to join at 2 PM to become part of this patriotic display. A 100-meter Polish flag will be carried through the streets of Krakow tomorrow. Residents and visitors are invited to participate in the procession. The event will conclude at Wawel Castle with the singing of the Polish national anthem and the European anthem. Organizers plan to create a map of Poland using 4,000 white and red flags on the Krakowskie Błonia. The program also includes a patriotic tram ride. A parade featuring a 100-meter Polish flag traveled from the Barbakan through the Royal Route to Wawel Castle. The event marked the beginning of the long May Day weekend in the Małopolska capital. The flag was prepared by the Teatr Groteska tailoring workshop. Participants carried the flag from the Florian Gate along the Royal Route to Wawel Castle. Residents and tourists assisted in carrying the heavy flag during the march.
