Cross Restored In Valkenburg Following Accident
The Kouberg cross is being returned to its pedestal in Valkenburg today. The statue was broken in multiple places approximately one and a half months ago. The restoration was completed in time for a commemoration. A cross from 1933 that was heavily damaged by a vehicle collision in Valkenburg approximately one and a half months ago is being returned to its pedestal on the Kauberg today. The restoration is timed for a memorial service on May 4. Two suspects are currently in custody regarding a separate violent incident where one man died, though one suspect claims he only filmed the event and did not intervene.
