Flowers Laid At Fidel Castro Monument In Moscow
A ceremony to honor Cuban revolutionary Fidel Castro took place in Moscow. Participants included Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov, the grandson of Castro, Cuban Ambassador Enrique Ortega Gonzalez, and State Duma Deputy Alexander Bobakov. The event preceded the upcoming centenary of Castro's birth in August. Castro Smirnov described his grandfather as a man who challenged the United States empire. A ceremony was held in Moscow to lay flowers at the monument of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro for his 100th anniversary. Representatives from various socialist parties from different countries participated in the event.
