Romanian Radio Celebrates Jazz Musician, Film Festival

Radio Romania Cultural featured a segment dedicated to the late Romanian musician Florin Bogardo, playing previously unreleased recordings. The program discussed efforts to establish a festival in his honor and introduce his music to younger generations. Bogardo's wife was also featured, reflecting on his legacy and the importance of his musical contributions. A tribute to the late musician Florin Bogard was held, featuring his music. Two previously unreleased songs recorded by him were discovered. An attempt was made to organize a Florin Bogard festival, with one edition successfully held at the Tarnase Theater before the pandemic. There is a desire to re-stage the festival to introduce his music to younger generations. Radio Romania Cultural is celebrating jazz musician AG Vine Burger, who will be honored on his 60th birthday with a concert featuring a best-of selection of his career. The European Film Festival will mark its 30th anniversary in 2026, showcasing innovative European cinema in Bucharest from May 6-17 and in eight other cities until June 1. The festival is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute and supported by the European Commission Representation in Romania and EUNIC Romania.
