Prince Felipe To Present Military Commission To Son
Prince Felipe is scheduled to present the Despacho de Alferes to his son, Juan Sebastián Elcano, on July 15. The ceremony will take place in San Javier following the completion of the prince's military training. Juan Sebastián Elcano's training included service in Zaragoza with the army and seven months at sea with the Navy in Marín. His naval instruction involved travel to eight countries aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano. The ceremony marks the conclusion of the Prince's three-year military training period.
