Swiss Comic Artist's Dream Job at Journal de Spirou in 1985
In 1985, Swiss comic artist Zep was hired by the Journal de Spirou, a achievement for a young Swiss illustrator. He created the character Victor during his time there. Zep described the engagement as a dream and the 'grail of comic strips.' The artist found the editorial team to be older than expected and not the creative 'fireworks' they had imagined.
