Yakut People's Turkic Language Origin and Northern Lifestyle
The Yakut language is of Turkic origin, with Turkic languages playing a role in the formation of the Yakut ethnos. The Republic of Sakha Yakutia's name is based on the Yakut language. The Yakuts are described as the northernmost horse breeders in the world, with a special breed of Yakut horses that graze in temperatures as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius. Their lifestyle is adapted to the northern climate.
