Goethe-Institut Appoints New Secretary General
Gitte Tchoch has been appointed the new Secretary-General of the Goethe-Institut. The institute's presidency announced the decision made during a special session. The President of the institution praised Tchoch as a recognized expert in foreign cultural and educational policy. Minister Wadefühl also highlighted the new Secretary-General's extensive international experience. Csoch, 42, previously led the Institute for Foreign Relations and is seen as a fitting choice for the cultural arm of German foreign policy.
