New Flower Market Opens In Shanghai
The Shanghai Botanical Garden has introduced a new 'Yunnan Flowers at Your Doorstep' market to promote floral sales. The initiative aims to use floral displays to drive regional tourism and establish a unique city brand for Shanghai. Wang Bin, Deputy District Head of Huangpu District, noted the event links various commercial areas including Xintiandi and Huahai Middle Road. The project focuses on developing a 'flower viewing economy' through organized activities. The event is part of a broader effort to promote liquid development across the Yangtze River Delta. The market features five European-style palace gates decorated with flowers, and nearly 30 businesses have created themed floral displays. The event showcases over 60 flower brands and aims to integrate the flower festival with the surrounding commercial district, involving over 50 brands and 100 businesses.
