Lincoln Woods Mall To Close Permanently
The Burr & Eagles club, a popular venue for Chicago's indie wrestling scene, will be closing its doors after more than two decades. The closure follows a fight between a fan and wrestlers at a March 28th event. While the venue's entertainment license was not revoked, its closure represents a loss for local wrestling fans and performers. The mall has been in business for over 35 years. Demolition is planned for the site. Demolition of the space is expected to begin next month. The announcement follows the mall's transition to electronic monitoring.
