Magic Circle Honors Singaporean Pioneer
Moncardius, a prominent businessman in Singapore, was awarded the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by France in 1935. This recognition was for his contributions to society, including patronage of football clubs and his own league tournament, the Kadera Sultan League. His generosity extended to education, health, and public causes. A Singaporean and Asian individual was among the first to receive the Special Things Award in 1936 for the best magical effect published in The Finks magazine. In 1959, this individual was invited to join the inner circle of the Magic Circle of London, a honor.
