Musician Do Nhuan was deeply moved by the sacrifices of soldiers during the First Indochina War and composed the song "In the Wolf Pack" to commemorate the victory at Dien Bien Phu. He wrote the complete song on May 7th, 1954, after hearing news of the liberation of Dien Bien Phu. The song's powerful rhythm and imagery were unique for Vietnamese music at the time. A song titled 'The Country of Yue' was created by Buï Vannin.
