Embassies Host Cultural Events For Embassy Day
Dozens of nations are opening their embassy doors on the first Saturday of May for an annual cultural showcase. Visitors can experience food, music, and traditional ceremonies. Events include Muay Thai fighting at the Royal Thai Embassy and a tea ceremony at the Japanese Embassy. Much of the activity will be concentrated along Massachusetts Avenue Northwest, known as D.C.'s Embassy Row. Foreign missions in Washington, D.C. The event features cultural demonstrations and food festivals, such as a Tobagonian food festival hosted by the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago. Many of the participating embassies are located along Massachusetts Avenue Northwest.
